Built-in AI tools
The platform ships with local CPU models for background removal, subject and object selection, object removal, upscaling and enhancement. They do not need a third-party key. Selection and analysis are free of credits; removal, upscaling and enhancement cost one credit per run.

Generative tools when a provider is connected
Generate, generative fill, expand and outpainting need an external image model. Pixopea seeds those providers disabled; an administrator must store credentials and enable one before the tools can run. They cost more credits and incur real provider charges, so they are never presented as free or unlimited.
How credits work
A job reserves credits before it runs and releases them if it fails. The usage screen shows what each job cost, and the credit ledger records every grant and charge. The free plan includes a monthly allowance with daily and monthly caps; paid plans and credit packs raise the allowance without changing the editor.
